One of my favourite pit stops in the city is right here on Southbank between Flinders Street and Queens Bridge. It's great because I can people-watch, I can see our city skyline, it's right near the Lindt store, there's lots of outdoor seating, but MOST important of all, this is a prime position for playing Pokémon Go because there are two overlapping Pokéstops that people always put lures on, AND because it's on the riverbank you can easily stock up on heaps of Magikarp - I'm already halfway to getting my Gyrados after just a few visits! Once when I was sitting here, I saw a group of about 20 people on a Pokémon Go outing. I knew because they all rushed to this spot and then immediately stopped and swiped furiously at their phones. I probably also knew because two of them had dressed up as Pikachu and Charmander. [PS. Have I ever told you that I'm a massive nerd?...]

I'll also be honest with you and say that I'm not a massive fan of this sketch. It's also the reason for the delay in uploading this post. For a long time it looked a lot more muddled than this, and the colours didn't work. What I do love about this scene is the couple. She had beautifully bright red hair and wore all black, and he had jet black hair with dark red jeans. I thought I would love adding the colours to the sculpture, but it ended up looking way too bright and out of place. I finally decided to add the shadows brightened up the water. It's better than it was, but still not as coherent as I would like it to be.

But, I can only practice.
